A slimmed-down version of the Galaxy S4 will be along a matter of weeks after Samsung?s full-sized flagship phone for 2013, reports suggest, presumably aimed at the shrinking market of consumers turned off by smartphones? ever-expanding dimensions.
According to sources cited by Sam Mobile, the so-called Galaxy S4 Mini is set to be available from week 21 of this year, which equates to a likely street date of some time around the start of May.
Specs for the S4 Mini are as yet unknown. But as with previous junior versions of Galaxy S phones, it is expected to feature a more modest screen and will as likely ditch its big brother?s rumoured eight-core processor for a less brawny quad-core model.
Details of the S4 are less sketchy. However, rumours suggest that when it debuts in March or April it will be home to a 4.99-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and a 13-megapixel camera.
The phone is also thought to debut a new gesture-based input system that would enable users to interact with their phone by hovering their fingers above the screen.
